B.A. PR, Marketing and Communications
A young man who is making an impact!
Iftachel is energetic and enthusiastic, one of those men who really lives by his principles and strives to make a difference. When I interview him, he talks passionately about his studies and future.
Iftachel is single, 33 years old and grew up in the Southern Israeli town of Kiryat Gat. He was born in Israel – literally, as his mother arrived on a flight to Israel from Ethiopia – and describes his birth story as dramatic. He is the eldest of four children, raised by a single mother.
Iftachel currently lives in Rehovot and studies at the Kiryat Ono Academic College where he is finishing his third year in PR, Marketing and Communications. He dreams of going on to do a Master’s degree in a related field.
For the past decade, he has worked as a rappelling instructor. He is the head of his department and takes a great deal of pride in his work.
Iftachel describes his many activist pursuits and initiatives, including an on campus festival marking the Ethiopian Jewish Sig’d holiday. “I want to make a difference” he exclaims. “We can all do our part.”
Iftachel wishes to thank Keren Hanan Aynor for our constant encouragement and support. He truly feels that the scholarship gives him both the financial and emotional push needed to get ahead in his studies.
We, at Keren Aynor wish Iftachel continued success as he looks towards an advanced degree. In his studies, work and volunteerism, he is a wonderful role model for his peers and community at large.
